I don’t think season 4 and 5 would’ve been this enjoyable if it came earlier. We’re obsessed because we had to wait years for this. And season 4 absolutely blew my mind. There was actual character development that lasted. There were actual consequences for the mess ups. And it all ended with Marinette losing every single miraculous except her own.
Abuse literally changes the way your brain works. And especially when you grow up in it, your brain doesn’t develop the way it’s meant to. So I’ll never know who I could’ve been without abuse. Would I have been a happier person? What would my life even look like?
I think it’s important to acknowledge sometimes people are just assholes because they want to be, not because life screwed them over.
Your story can’t be entirely high stakes and main battles. Sometimes, you need a little pure stupidity within a low stakes crisis.
I care about people, I just don’t understand them. But my lack of understanding doesn’t give others a right to say I don’t deserve love.
Contrary to what some may have you believe, there will be no cheap reversals. Everything from Gabriel Agreste being cataclysmed to all of the love-square kisses are happening, being remembered and having an impact on the plot.
Making a sequel of an iconic family movie over a decade later is asking for criticism. Disenchanted will never be treated as nicely as the original. It’s the unfortunate part of being a die hard hard, it’s hard to sometimes turn that loyalty off and just enjoy a movie for what it is.
People have a right to avoid things that could trigger them. Which means that just as movies and shows have to warn people when they depict excessive violence, there should also be a rating and a content warning page at the beginning of the book.
The Love Square is one of the most unique and iconic aspects of Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. It’s actually my favourite part of this show and the reason why I watch every episode I can access, regardless of how infuriating some of them are.
In the end, authentic storytelling is not actually about what is accurate. It’s about what feels accurate. And because a specific picture of high school has been generated through generations of books, it seems more true to life.
