I think it’s important to acknowledge sometimes people are just assholes because they want to be, not because life screwed them over.

Making a sequel of an iconic family movie over a decade later is asking for criticism. Disenchanted will never be treated as nicely as the original. It’s the unfortunate part of being a die hard hard, it’s hard to sometimes turn that loyalty off and just enjoy a movie for what it is.
It wasn’t until I watched it again with my housemates that I could truly appreciate just how well crafted a movie it is. On second viewing, I wasn’t worried about whether or not it was like the first one, I knew it wasn’t because I’d already seen it. All I did on my second viewing was just enjoy it for what it is.
