Then this is a safe place for you. On this page, you'll never hear the words "It's not that deep" or "It's just a show" because it's okay to be angry about fiction. Those characters are stupid and we should talk about it.
But Of Course, I Am Still A Lover Of Fiction
Though the characters may drive me up the wall, it doesn't change the fact that I still love them. After all, if I wanted to only read about rational human beings, I would rarely ever get a book that lasted beyond the first chapter.
No, give me misunderstandings and characters making stupid decisions. If that's what gets me conflict and a story that lasts for 400 hundred pages, I'm fully on board. And in return, I will spend my spare time analysing the crap out of everything I read and watch.
My Latest Post
Maybe this is a result of the fact that I actually have morals but I genuinely don't understand the Kira worshippers. If a random dude came out and claimed to be a god and he had the ability to kill people with just a name and face, I would be running in the opposite direction.
Goodbye society. Goodbye social media. I'm about to go live in the woods.
Audience Favourite
This is one of my earlier reviews but it's somehow also my most viewed review (or it was, before I reset my website).
Miraculous Ladybug may have an invested audience in teenagers and adults but at the end of the day, it's still a show primarily targeted at 7 year olds. So, of course, there are aspects of this show that won't resonate with adults. And while there are valid criticism against the series, much of the criticism I've seen fans direct towards it are not actually criticism.
But rather just an adult whinging that a show made for children doesn't accommodate the tastes of its' adult audience.
My Favourite Review Here
This is actually the first review I wrote after going on a months long hiatus. And though on this version of my website, this is listed as the oldest post, that's only because I accidentally reset everything else.
So understand that this show was so good, it pulled me out of my writers block and demotivation.
Because here's the thing about Katherine Song Covey: she is a complex character with a traumatic history. Sure, she may appear overly involved and irrational. But a huge part of that comes from the fact that since she lost her mother when she was very young, her older sisters stepped into the role of surrogate mothers to her.
And Lara Jean and Margot spent so long trying to make sure she never missed out on experiences that they often forgave her for things she should've been punished for. After all, they're not her parents. And no matter what she did, she would always be their baby. And because of that, her meddling never had consequences and it often turned out to help the people in her life.
So, of course, when she tries to reunite with her long lost family and they reject her, it's heart breaking.
